Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy

Not Just Sport Limited is committed to ensuring that all children and young people who take part in our activities are kept safe, protected and supported at all times. The welfare of the child is our paramount concern.

Legal Framework: Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, NSPCC CPSU guidance, Equality Act 2010.

Designated Safeguarding Lead: All concerns must be reported to the DSL immediately.

Recognising Abuse: Physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect, bullying or online harm.

Reporting: If immediate danger call 999. Otherwise record factually and report to DSL without delay. Do not investigate yourself.

Code of Conduct: Treat children with respect, maintain boundaries, avoid being alone, never use punishment.

Allegations: Managed in line with statutory guidance.

Review: Annually.

Privacy & Data Protection Policy

We comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Data Collected: Child and parent details, emergency contacts, medical info, attendance and consent.

Lawful Basis: Consent, legal obligation, vital interests, legitimate interests.

Use of Data: Safe delivery, communication, bookings, safeguarding duties.

Security: Stored securely, accessed only by authorised staff, not sold.

Children’s Data: Extra protections; parents control rights.

Retention: Kept only as necessary then securely deleted.

Rights: Access, correction, deletion, withdraw consent via company email.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policy

We provide a safe and supportive environment.

Risk Assessments completed for all venues and reviewed.

First Aid: Qualified first aid, kits available, accidents recorded.

Medical Info must be provided by parents.

Emergency Procedures in place with contact details.

Wellbeing: Promote inclusion and zero tolerance of bullying.

Code of Conduct & Behaviour Policy

Staff must act as role models, respect children, maintain boundaries and follow policies.

Children must show respect, follow instructions and avoid bullying.

Parents must communicate respectfully and support safety rules.

Breaches may lead to warnings, removal or referral to authorities.
